What is Fanal?+

Fanal is a mobile-first bookkeeping and invoicing app built for solo and 2-person service businesses in Mauritius. It handles quotes, invoices, payment tracking, job scheduling, expenses, and a real-time financial dashboard — all from your phone.

Fanal is designed for solo and 2-person service businesses in Mauritius — electricians, plumbers, AC technicians, contractors, decorators, estate agents, designers, and other tradespeople who need simple, phone-first business tools.

How do I get started?+

Create your free account at fanal.mu/signup, complete onboarding, and have your first quote out the same day. If you prefer a walkthrough, email us at admin@themosaiccode.co for a demo.

Do I need to install anything?+

No. Fanal runs in your mobile browser. There is nothing to install. Add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.

Invoicing & MRA Compliance

Is Fanal MRA-compliant?+

Yes. Fanal generates MRA-compliant invoices with BRN, VAT registration number, supply type codes (TC01–TC06), gap-free sequential numbering, and all mandatory fields required by the Mauritius Revenue Authority.

Does Fanal support MRA e-invoicing?+

Fanal is built around the MRA e-invoicing framework. When the e-invoicing threshold reaches your business, your invoice structure is already compliant and ready for fiscalisation through the Invoice Fiscalisation Platform.

What invoice fields are included?+

Every invoice includes supplier name and BRN, customer details, description of goods/services, unit prices, quantities, VAT rate, total amount, payment method, sequential invoice number, and the date and time of issue — all mandatory under the VAT Act.

Can I create quotes and convert them to invoices?+

Yes. Create professional quotes in under two minutes, send them as polished PDFs, and let customers approve with a single tap. Approved quotes convert to MRA-compliant invoices with one click — no copy and paste.

What supply type codes does Fanal use?+

Fanal supports all MRA supply type codes: TC01 (taxable supplies at 15% VAT), TC02 (zero-rated exports), TC03 (exempt supplies), TC04 (non-fiscal items), TC05 (standard rated to exempt bodies), and TC06 (supplies outside scope of VAT).

Payments & Cash Flow

Does Fanal track payments?+

Yes. Mark invoices as paid, flag overdue payments, and see what is owed at a glance. Fanal supports cash, bank transfer, MCB Juice, MyT, and cheque payment methods.

Can I see a cash-flow forecast?+

Yes. The Pro plan includes a 30-day cash-flow forecast based on your invoiced amounts, payment history, and outstanding balances — so you always know what is coming in.

Does Fanal send payment reminders?+

Fanal flags overdue invoices and lets you see which clients owe you money. Email-based automated reminders are on the product roadmap.

Dashboard & Reports

Does Fanal include a dashboard?+

Yes. The Pro plan includes a real-time dashboard showing monthly revenue, top owing clients, 30-day cash forecast, and VAT due — so you always know where your business stands.

What reports can I generate?+

Fanal provides monthly KPIs, revenue summaries, expense breakdowns, client aging reports, and VAT calculations. All reports are viewable on your phone or exportable.

Can I track expenses?+

Yes. Log business expenses with categories, amounts, and receipts. Expenses feed into your dashboard and reports for a complete financial picture.

Languages & Pricing

Is Fanal available in French?+

Yes. Fanal has a full English and French interface, switchable per user. The bilingual design is built for the Mauritian market.

How much does Fanal cost?+

Fanal has a one-off onboarding fee of Rs 1,500, then two monthly plans: Starter at Rs 540/month (up to 50 invoices) and Pro at Rs 990/month (unlimited invoices, full dashboard, cash forecast, and VAT view). No hidden fees, no per-user charge.

Is there a free trial?+

You can create an account and explore the app before committing. The onboarding session ensures you are comfortable before going live.

Can I cancel anytime?+

Yes. There is no lock-in contract. Cancel any month — you keep your data.

Do you offer training?+

Yes. The Rs 1,500 onboarding fee includes a one-hour training session — in person in Port-Louis or over a video call — plus priority support during your first 30 days.
