Why cash flow kills businesses
A business can be profitable on paper and still run out of cash. If your clients pay you in 60 days but your rent and salaries are due in 30, you have a timing problem. Cash flow forecasting shows you these gaps before they become crises.
Enter your starting cash balance, then fill in expected income and expenses for each month. The tool builds a month-by-month picture of your cash position. If any month goes negative, it flags the shortfall so you can plan ahead: arrange a credit line, delay a purchase, or chase outstanding invoices.
Update this forecast monthly with actual numbers. Over time, your projections get more accurate because you learn your seasonal patterns and payment cycles. Most small businesses in Mauritius that fail do so because of cash flow, not because their service was bad.
